Help publish a book…
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the "Nureyev’s Foot" project, a collaborative initiative between Macquarie University and WestWords. This project aims to publish a collection of nonfiction stories and essays that shine a light on the often-hidden realities of living with, or caring for, illnesses and disabilities. Our students and alumni have been instrumental in bringing this project to life, contributing their unique perspectives and powerful narratives.
Why Your Support Matters
Your donation will directly support the mentoring of writers, professional editing, and the publication of these important stories. Even better, through the Australian Cultural Fund (ACF) matched giving campaign, every dollar you donate will be doubled thanks to Creative Australia, up to a total of $5000. This means your support will have twice the impact, helping us bring these crucial voices to the forefront.
How You Can Help
- $100 Donation (Matched to $200): Supports mentoring for writers contributing to "Nureyev’s Foot."
- $250 Donation (Matched to $500): Funds professional editing and design for the publication.
- $500 Donation (Matched to $1000): Aids in outreach efforts to gather diverse experiences and ensures wide accessibility of the final publication.
- $1000 Donation (Matched to $2000): Fully supports the publication process, from mentoring and editing to distribution, ensuring the voices of individuals living with illnesses and disabilities are heard and valued.
