CREATIVE WRITING @ MQ

Envision your world with your words

Study Creative Writing at Macquarie where you will learn the craft of writing, from short story to novel writing. Over the course of your major, you will have the opportunity to study your favourite genre and develop the genre competency to plan and write a novel. Through workshopping, close reading, and targeted writing exercises, you will develop the skill to express yourself effectively in words. Your major culminates in publication of either poetry or prose, where you will produce, edit and publish an issue of The Quarry, MQ’s student journal of Creative Writing.
